Answer 1

Domain is the x-intercept(first number) for example if I were told to find the domain in (1,3)(4,7)(8,9) the domain would be 1,4, and 8 because they're the x-factors and then plotting a point, the x-factors come first.

Range is the y-factors(second number) and given an example above, the ranges would be 3,7, and 9 because when plotting, they are the second number.

You can tell if it is a function or not if the X-factors repeat. For example, the first one is NOT a function because the 2 repeats for the x-factor. Number 2 IS a function because the x-factor doesn't repeat.

Sorry if this doesn't make sense, that's the best way I can explain!

Use vector operations to draw the resultant vector.
b) Draw 2u – 1 /3 v.

Answers

Vectors are elements of the vector space, and they can be illustrated by diagrams.

How to draw the vector 2u - 1/3v

The vector expression is given as:

2u - 1/3 v

Split the vector expressions, as follows:

[tex]y_1 = 2u[/tex]

[tex]y_2 = -\frac13v[/tex]

See attachment for the graphs of y1 and y2.

Next, we have:

[tex]y = 2u - \frac13v[/tex]

So, we have:

[tex]y = y_1 + y_2[/tex]

The above expression means that, we add the vectors y1 and y2 to get vector y

Pamela stopped at 1.8 miles marker. where will she be if she walks one tenth of a mile towards camp? one mile towards camp?Explain

Answers

I am pretty sure it is a because 2 is half of 4 and 18 is half of 36.

Step-by-step explanation:

Pamela will be 1.7 miles if she walks one-tenth of a mile toward camp.

What are Arithmetic operations?

Arithmetic operations can also be specified by adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying built-in functions.

- Subtraction operation: Subtracts the right-hand operand from the left-hand operand.

for example 4 -2 = 2

At the 1.8-mile marker, Pamela stopped.

We have to determine the mile toward camp if she makes it a mile and a tenth of the way to camp.

Since a tenth of a mile is equal to one mile, if she is heading in the direction of the camp and the 1.8-mile marker is moving forward.

As per the given condition,

So remaining distance would be

⇒ 1.8 - (1/10)

⇒ 1.8 - 0.10

⇒ 1.7

Therefore, she will be 1.7 miles if she walks one-tenth of a mile toward camp.

What is a chord in a circle?

The chord of a circle is defined as the line segment joining any two points on the circumference of the circle. It should be noted that the diameter is the longest chord of a circle that passes through the center of the circle.

Given that a circle, O, where, arcs, XY and XZ are congruent,

We need to find the measure of chord XY in the given circle.

Since, we know that,

If two chord are of the same length, then the two arcs they intercept are congruent.

Therefore,

The Big Motor Works (BMW) is considering a production schedule for cars and trucks over the next two months. They must deliver on time 400 trucks and 800 cars in month one. In month two, their demand is 300 trucks and 300 cars. During each month, at most 1,000 vehicles can be built. Each truck uses two tons of steel and each car uses one ton of steel. During the first month, the steel cost will be $400 per ton. During the second month the cost of steel will go up to $600 per ton. At most 2,500 tons of steel can be purchased in each month. (Steel can only be used in the month it is purchased.) At the beginning of month one, 100 trucks and 200 cars are in inventory. At the beginning of each month a hold- ing cost of $150 per vehicle is assessed. Each car gets 30 mpg, and each truck gets 20 mpg. To meet fuel economy regulations, the vehicles produced each month must average at least 26 mpg. The company wants to minimize its total costs.

The sum of the measures of the angles of a triangle is 180. The sum of the measures of the second and third angles is five times the measure of the first angle. The third angle is 16 more than the second. Let x, y, and z represent the measures of the first, second, and third angles, respectively

Answers

Answer:

x = 30 degrees

y = 67 degrees

z = 83 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's first set up a few equations. We know:

x + y + z = 180

y + z = 5x

z = y + 16

Let's now solve our equations through substitution. We'll substitute variable z in equations one and two for (y + 16), which is possible thanks to our third equation.

Now, our second equation has become:

y + y + 16 = 5x

So...

5x = 2y + 16

Our first equation is now:

x + y + y + 16 = 180

So...

x + 2y = 180 - 16

And...

x + 2y = 164

Finally...

x = 164 - 2y

Let's take a look at our new first and second equations:

5x = 2y + 16

x = 164 - 2y

Let's substitute again, replacing x in the first equation with (164 - 2y).

Our first equation is now the following:

5(164 - 2y) = 2y + 16

We can apply the Distributive Property to get:

820 - 10y = 2y + 16

So...

-10y - 2y = 16 - 820

-12y = -804

y = 67

Now that we have found y, we can find x and z.

We know that the third angle z is 16 more than the second, y. That was our third equation, z = y + 16.

So, z = 67 + 16.

z = 83.

We know the sum of the y and z is five times the measure of x.

(83 + 67)/5 = 30

To check our work, we can do 67 + 83 + 30 = 180. So we know we are correct.
