Based upon the clues Steinbeck gives us in the first two chapters of (Of Mice And Men)write a possible ending?

Answers

Answer 1

In the first two chapters of "Of Mice and Men," Steinbeck sets the stage for the story of two men, George and Lennie, who are traveling together and looking for work during the Great Depression.

The author gives us several clues about the characters and their situation, but it is not possible to say with certainty what the ending of the story will be.

However, based on the clues Steinbeck gives us in the first two chapters, it is possible to speculate about a possible ending for the story.

One possible ending could be that Lennie, who is mentally disabled and has a tendency to accidentally cause harm, gets into trouble and George is forced to make a difficult decision to protect Lennie.

George, who is Lennie's caretaker, might have to choose between Lennie's safety and his own safety.

    2. Another possible ending could be that George and Lennie's dream of owning their own farm and "living off the fatta the lan'" does not come true and they continue to wander, looking for work and struggling to survive during the Great Depression.

    3. A third possible ending could be that George and Lennie's dream comes true, they get the farm they desire and they are able to live in peace, away from the harsh reality of the Great Depression.

Regardless of the ending, it is clear that Steinbeck's story will explore the themes of friendship, the American Dream, and the struggles of the working class during the Great Depression.

She had recently moved in with her sister, Miss Watson, an acceptable-looking slender old maid wearing goggles, who then launched a set of spelling-book blows at me. For almost an hour, she worked me moderately hard before the widow forced her to lighten up.

I could no longer take it. The next hour was very boring, and I started to become restless. Huckleberry was repeatedly told by Miss Watson not to put his feet up there, not to scrunch up like that, not to stretch out like that, and eventually not to put his feet up there at all.

Her sister, Miss Watson, a tolerable slim old maid, with goggles on, had just come to live with her, and took a set at me now with a spelling-book. She worked me middling hard for about an hour, and then the widow made her ease up. I couldn’t stood it much longer. Then for an hour it was deadly dull, and I was fidgety. Miss Watson would say, “Don’t put your feet up there, Huckleberry;” and “Don’t scrunch up like that, Huckleberry—set up straight;” and pretty soon she would say, “Don’t gap and stretch like that, Huckleberry—why don’t you try to behave?” Then she told me all about the bad place, and I said I wished I was there. She got mad then, but I didn’t mean no harm. All I wanted was to go somewheres; all I wanted was a change, I warn’t particular. She said it was wicked to say what I said; said she wouldn’t say it for the whole world; she was going to live so as to go to the good place. Well, I couldn’t see no advantage in going where she was going, so I made up my mind I wouldn’t try for it. But I never said so, because it would only make trouble, and wouldn’t do no good.

(A) True In a flat organizational structure, communicating up and down in a top-heavy hierarchy is especially important.

A flat organization is one in which there are fewer levels of management and fewer layers of bureaucracy. This means that communication between different levels of the organization is more direct. The advantage of this type of structure is that it allows for quicker decisions and more efficient operations. It also allows for more direct communication between those at the top of the organization and those at the bottom, which helps to ensure that everyone is aware of the company's goals and objectives.

At the same time, a flat organizational structure can also create an environment where communication becomes more important than ever. So, one day I was really upset and kind of having a mental breakdown because of my life, parents/family,school,etc. And I wrote like less than half my problems down and it took up 4 pages. There were some curse words in it. I left it on the table thinking no one would bother to look at it or even be interested. Then one night , I was in the bathroom and I heard my dad calling me and he sounded pretty angry. So I quickly got out and went. Once I entered the kitchen, my heart stopped beating for like 1/2 sec and MY DAD WAS HOLDING THE BOOK IN HIS HAND. I was like cursing in my mind terrified what was gonna happen next. And he started scolding me and was extremely mad and my mom/dad were very disapointed and couldnt forget that for like a month or sum. Then my mom found out that I was secretly wearing crop tops out to school and quickly changing and was wearing black leggings with it (from shein). She didnt tell my dad cuz he wouldve disowned me at this point. Then later I had this "perfect" childhood friend of mine and she went to this strict islamic school and my parents blamed this school about how it "changed" me. And they said that I was going to that school with her for 7th grade. I was SO made at them first but when I went there they said I could go back if I was more responsible and dont talk back, etc. But so far the school is actually not that bad. Its pretty fun tbh.
