This is a summary of what you've provided here (the full reading is much longer):

It started when Effie got something in her eye, which made the eye very painful and watery. She asked her father, who was a doctor, to get it out. He did so , with a brush dipped in castor oil. After removing the irritant from Effie's eye, he said "This is very curious."  He placed the brush under a microscope, examined it, and said it had "four well-developed limbs, a long caudal appendage, five toes, unequal in lengths, almost like the Lacertidae, yet there are traces of wings." Effie ran to get the professor, and he and the doctor discussed the creature over lunch. Suddenly, Effie's brother Harry dipped another creature out of his tea. The creature hopped onto the table, where it sat "stroking its feet and stretching its wings." Harry said "Why, it's a tiny newt!" This creature was a half-inch lizard, complete with scales and wings! The next morning, the knife-boy found another lizard in the doctor's boots, this one the size of a kitten, with big, shiny wings. Effie recognized it as a "dragon like the one St. George killed." The next morning, the papers were full of news of the "wonderful winged lizards" that were being found all over the country. Within a couple of weeks, the creatures were swarming like bees in some areas. They all looked the same, except they came in different sizes.

What else should I add to my speech to make it better its about procrastination

My speech so far: Intro: I would like to start with a confession, despite my better judgment. I, Aneek, am a procrastinator. In my day-to-day life, I procrastinate on almost all my school assignments. Actually, I even waited until the last second for this speech to be written. Today I will be talking about what is procrastination, how we can stop it, and some other topics.

What is procrastination?
Procrastination is “the action of delaying or postponing something” and this is caused by people thinking they can do all of the work in one night or simply thinking that they have more than enough time to do the assignment. When sometimes they really don’t.
Procrastination is a terrible habit to make. It can affect you a lot, for example, it increases your level of frustration afterward and in some cases leads to low self-esteem and depression.

How can we stop procrastinating?
Step 1, You have to realize that you are procrastinating
Step 2, Realize why you are procrastinating
Step 3, Commit to the task you are doing !!! Do not avoid your work.

Some examples of you procrastinating

Waking up and not turning your alarm off and putting it on snooze.
Working on an assignment but then you start texting your friends.
You are working on an assignment but then you start browsing through the internet. These are all examples of procrastination.

Why do we procrastinate?
We procrastinate so we can avoid the task we are doing. You are either afraid of doing the task because it’s hard or you are just too lazy.

When will procrastination finally stop?

Good question. … what, why are you looking at me. That is your decision.

What are the causes of procrastinating?
Some causes of procrastination are pure laziness or having other things in the way of doing what you need to do. You might find something more interesting thing to do and start procrastinating. It is also a habit of think you can get everything done.

They say that there are four main types of procrastinators: The performer who says he works well under pressure when he really doesn’t, his or her biggest challenge is getting started. The self-deprecator, the self-deprecator always says he is lazy. His biggest challenge is that he never takes a break when he starts working, he rushes it. The overbooker says they are going to do everything but then when it’s the time to work they say they are busy, and the novelty seeker, they will start the project and then get bored after a while. Figuring out which group you're in can help you break out of your procrastination patterns — and maybe even turn in something early.

Procrastination is like a credit card I would say. It’s a lot of fun until you get the bill.

The stages of procrastination are:
I have lots of time I’ll relax for now.
Maybe I should get a head start? Nah.
Then the excuses come in and you say stuff like you are busy right now.
Then you will start to worry, but you tell yourself I still have time.

Then when your assignment is due the next day and you haven’t started you tell yourself I will never procrastinate again!!! Then these stages repeat again and again.

Well, I hope you stop procrastinating in the future. Never mind stopping procrastinating now !!! I hope you like the speech.

Read the sentence, then answer the questions that follow. Erin told her husband that she would go to the store on Tuesday. What is the modifier in this sentence?
“her husband”
“on Tuesday”
“she would”

Answers

Modifiers are words used to describe or alter something, I think the answer that makes sense is “on Tuesday” because the sentence would still makes sense without that segment but it adds more information and therefore is the modifier.

"Erin told her husband that she would go to the store on Tuesday", in this sentence “on Tuesday” is the modifier, hence option B is correct.

What is a modifier in the sentence?

A modifier is a word, phrase, or clause that serves as an adjective (modifying nouns) or an adverb by describing or providing additional information about another word (they modify adjectives, verbs, or adverbs).

Modifiers are words, phrases, and clauses that change and frequently clarify a sentence's meaning. Modifiers add information that can improve a sentence's clarity, interest, or precision. An adjective or an adverb is the most basic type of modifier.

Therefore, "On Tuesday" serves as a modifier in the sentence, more precisely as an adverb because it clarifies or adds to the meaning of the verb "go."
