In the "doll house" which words best describes Kezia's impression of the lamp in the doll house house? Choose three options

Answers

what are the options

Answer:

Frightfully, exquistie, and perfect or smile

Explanation:

But what Kezia liked more than anything, what she liked frightfully, was the lamp. It stood in the middle of the dining-room table, an exquisite little amber lamp with a white globe. It was even filled all ready for lighting, though, of course, you couldn’t light it. But there was something inside that looked like oil and moved when you shook it. The father and mother dolls, who sprawled very stiff as though they had fainted in the drawing-room, and their two little children asleep upstairs, were really too big for the doll’s house. They didn’t look as though they belonged. But the lamp was perfect. It seemed to smile at Kezia, to say, “I live here.” The lamp was real.

A. Smart and scared
B. Young and desensitized
C. Old and fanatical
D. Young and naive

Answers

Answer:

smart and scared

Explanation:

he's a student and cold gleam of fanatic

The line, “His face was the face of a student, thin and ascetic, but his eyes had the cold gleam of the fanatic” suggests that the sniper is Smart and scared.

Who is the Sniper?

A sniper is a highly skilled soldier who specializes in firing guns designed for long-range shooting at targets. They are also skilled in observation, infiltration, camouflage, and stealth tactics.

The sniper's eyes were "deep and contemplative," but they also had "the icy glimmer of a fanatic," according to O'Flaherty. Overall, one gets the idea that the young soldier has been molded and hardened by his experience in combat.

Because Sniper switches between desiring to kill and feeling regret for killing another guy, the sniper is a dynamic character. For instance, "His eyes had the cold glitter of the fanatic, but his face was the face of a student, lean and ascetic."

Therefore, Option (A) is correct.

Hamlet says, "Denmark’s a prison.”

Write two to three sentences in which you identify the type of figurative language Hamlet uses here and analyze its meaning and effects.

Answers

Answer:

This figurative language is a metaphor. Hamlet is comparing Denmark, meaning specifically the castle in Denmark where he is living, to a prison. Hamlet is saying this because he feels trapped and like all of his movements are being watched and analyzed. He feels he is being punished for being emotional about his father's death and scrutinized by everyone around him as one would be in a prison.

Explanation:

Answer: Hamlet is using a metaphor to compare Denmark, his home, to a prison. This metaphor shows that, like someone in prison, Hamlet feels as if he is trapped and being watched all the time.

4.lago
5.jafar

Aladdin is young boy living with his mother in poverty in a town in China. His father died recently, having tried unsuccessfully to persuade his son to knuckle down and learn a trade. Aladdin, however, prefers to go off and play with the other boys in the street.

One day, a sorcerer approaches Aladdin, claiming to be his uncle. He convinces Aladdin to work with him, telling Aladdin that if he does what he tells him, the boy will grow up to be rich. Aladdin’s mother, who has never met the sorcerer before, is initially suspicious of his claim to be a long-lost relative but she becomes convinced that the man is genuine.

The man shows Aladdin gardens full of beautiful riches, before leading Aladdin down into a cave, telling the boy to fetch an oil lamp found inside. He gives Aladdin a magic ring that will protect him while he searches for it. But when he finds the lamp, Aladdin refuses to pass it up to the sorcerer before he is out of the cave, so the sorcerer seals Aladdin inside the cave with the lamp!

But Aladdin, while rubbing his hands together to pray for help, accidentally rubs the ring the sorcerer gave to him, and a genie appears. The genie asks what he can do for Aladdin, and Aladdin says he wants to go home. And so the genie grants Aladdin’s wish.

Aladdin takes the lamp home with him, and tells his mother all about what happened, and about how his long-lost ‘uncle’ isn’t in fact his uncle at all, but a sorcerer. When cleaning the lamp, the mother rubs it and another genie appears. Aladdin and his mother ask for food, and their wish is granted. For several years, they both thrive, thanks to the genie’s help.

Then one day Aladdin catches sight of the beautiful sultan’s daughter, Lady Badar al-Budur, and vows to marry her. He persuades his mother to go to the sultan and request Lady Badar al-Budur’s hand in marriage for Aladdin, giving her some precious jewels Aladdin has obtained thanks to the genie. Sure enough, the sultan is sufficiently impressed by the jewels to grant Aladdin’s wish.

However, the vizier – the sultan’s chief adviser – is not happy with this plan, because he had planned for his own son to marry Lady Badar al-Budur. The sultan gives the vizier’s son three months to come up with an even better gift; if he can do so, then the sultan will let the vizier’s son marry his daughter instead.

But before the three months have elapsed, Aladdin’s mother learns that the vizier’s son has married the sultan’s daughter, and Aladdin assumes that the sultan has gone back on his promise. He is determined to prevent the marriage from being consummated, and sends the genie to throw the bridegroom in the toilet and transport the sultan’s daughter, and her bridal bed, to Aladdin’s home. He lies with the bride, guarding her all night, while she lies there, understandably terrified. In the morning, the genie returns the bride to her groom, who is released from the privy.

~Lenvy~

The man in the well story why the children did not tell anyone about the man in the well explains the idea is the children are cruel and manipulative. Therefore, option 1 is correct.

Why children's are cruel ?

Elementary school students can come across as ruthless and heartless if they lack the capacity to understand another person's emotions. A child may act cruelly quite simply because that is the nature of a child's mentality, as opposed to an adult who may be cruel out of a genuine wish to hurt.

While holding him in the well and conversing with the odd man, children bring him food. They later get frightened and uneasy when he learns their names, and eventually they leave the man alone and in despair. It goes much beyond mere brutality.

Children who struggle in school, have low self-esteem, and have few friends are frequently linked to cruelty. Animal abusers are frequently labeled bullies and may have a history of skipping school.

how does Orwell use language to describe Winston and place he lies?

Answers

Answer:

sorry if wrong  tell me if im wrong and ill try to change it

Explanation:

The style of 1984 is bleak and depressing, mirroring the functional style and aesthetics of the Party, where adornment is looked down on, individuality is discouraged, and beauty and refinement are considered politically suspect. Orwell uses straightforward grammar, reflecting his belief that uncluttered language is the most honest form of communication. In an essay called “Politics and the English Language,” he states that “to think clearly is a necessary first step toward political regeneration.” For Orwell, in order to think clearly one had to be able to first write clearly, and 1984 models the clarity and concision critical to independent thought.

At the same time, the language is markedly oppressive and dull – mimicking the deadening effect of life under Party rule, where everything is ugly and gray. For example, the book’s opening is clear and straightforward, but also evokes a sense of discomfort and misery: “Winston Smith, his chin nuzzled into his breast in an effort to escape the vile wind, slipped quickly through the glass doors of Victory Mansions, though not quickly enough to prevent a swirl of gritty dust from entering along with him.” The few adjectives Orwell uses – vile, gritty – paint a bleak picture of the scene.

Hamlet contains several tragic aspects. Several fatalities in the plot can be classified as sad events, including the death of the protagonist. Hamlet is also known as a revenge tragedy. When the play was composed and promoted in the Elizabethan and Jacobean eras, it was very popular. In this subgenre, the protagonist wants vengeance. As the plot progresses, this desire can either stay in the hero's head or become a reality. The drama vividly depicts the concept of vengeance. Hamlet intends to assassinate Claudius for the murder of his father, but instead kills more people and dies. Hamlet is a problematic play since it deals with the subject of madness. Hamlet pretends to be insane in order to fool the audience into thinking he is harmless. Hamlet, on the other hand, is losing touch with reality as he investigates his father's death. As he plots his vengeance, he begins to act strangely and without thought. It turns out that his mind is concealing troubles that are far more serious than he realises.
