How the colonists attempt to avoid paying the imposed taxes/duties placed on sugar by British Parliament?
Do you think it was correct for the British Colonists to smuggle goods instead of paying the tax on the good

Answers

During this time, many taxes were being put on products by the British Parliament. Many of these products were things that the colonists enjoyed, which made them angry. They also had no say in what was being taxed or how much the tax was, as they had nobody in the British Parliament to vouch for them. This is known as "taxation without representation."

One way that the colonists attempted to avoid paying the imposed taxes placed on products was by boycotting. Many colonists during this time simply refused to buy products that contained the tax on them. This sometimes would even escalate to riots, products being burned, and British troops, colonists, and merchants being harmed.

Another problem during this time was the colonists smuggling in goods that were not taxed. While this problem started to escalate, it made British troops start searching homes, businesses, and ships. The colonists hated this and even would eventually create the Fourth Amendment, which protects people against unreasonable searches. While smuggling goods is bad, Great Britain was still untaxing them unfairly and many were left with no choice.

how did you imagine islam, and after learning about islam what were the differences?

thank you, have a wonderful day <3

Answers

Hello, I am a Muslim myself and I was born into Islam, so I am a devoted follower since young age. Most people imagine Islam as a concept, a place where people are trapped and suffer from giving up time to pray, to fast, to not have pork or drink alcohol, to not dress inappropriately, to not listen to music or watch TV and numerous other things. But that’s the most outrageous thing a person can think. Islam is beautiful religion, it brings peace and reassurance and it is my safe place. It has restrictions, and I would never once be angry or annoyed about them; I am not a perfect Muslim, I commit Haraam (forbidden) acts and sin, I listen to music, I sometimes don’t pray and I don’t respect my parents at times. But that does not define Islam, Allah (God) is the most forgiving being to exist, and I know it is wrong and I repent and I know that I will be forgiven. If I was a non-believer, I would imagine Islam as a intricate religion, with people extremely dedicated: I would be ashamed to say, but I would think it’s a very claustrophobic “cult”. But being a part of such a life-changing religion, I am grateful to be born into an Islamic family. Muslims attend local Mosques to learn about Islam, so I was lucky to have such a useful place to learn and become at one with my faith. I also take Religious Studies as one of my GCSE exam options, and half of the course is Islam. If I was a non-believer, I would most likely know little about Islam but the Secondary School curriculum does teach some of Islam in depth. It isn’t as small as it is made out to be and it has so much more to it than students are taught. The difference is us, as citizens in a majority White-based society, we do not take Islam seriously; it is a place of piety and it is pure. Being a part of Islam is the most satisfying and relaxing part. Allah (our only God) brings each and every Muslim so much self-assurance and we feel so protected and in the hands of the most amazing existence. You learn that Muslims see things in a different way, we are grateful and caring and gentle and look after everyone. We accept and respect and are genuine humans. But more than anything, we are free. It’s ironic. But we are the most free at heart.

That’s the difference in how Islam is imagined and then perceived after learning about it in greater detail.

I hope this helps and was insightful, please take time to read and think about this and I apologise for the length.

How did the great society resemble the new deal?

Answers

Answer:

Finally, the New Deal and the Great Society prove to be alike through their lasting legacies. The Great Society resembles the New Deal in its origins, goals, and social and political legacies. The origins of the Great Society reflects that of the New Deal in various ways. One common origin of these two programs is their basis in Progressive ideas.

Explanation:

Both the Great Society, which was put into place by President Lyndon B. Johnson in the 1960s, and the New Deal, which was put into place by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in the 1930s, had a number of things in common with regard to their objectives and methods of governmental intervention.

The Great Society expanded on the groundwork established by the New Deal, tackling fresh issues that society was facing in the 1960s. The Civil Rights Act of 1964, Medicare, and other social welfare and civil rights protection programs were all implemented by the Great Society.  The Great Society was a distinct period in American history with its own special programs and changes, and it shared certain similarities with the New Deal in its emphasis on social welfare, economic security, and government engagement.

Reread the text under the heading “Better Standards of Living.” Explain the relationship between price and supply, and how this affected people’s standard of living during the Industrial Revolution.

Answers

Answer:

When supply goes up, and things are more accessible, price goes down. That is because demand goes down with it.

Explanation:

When supply goes up, and things are more accessible, price goes down. That is because demand goes down with it. The demand goes down because having more supply makes it easier to get and thus, not in need so much. During the industrial revolution, supply of things changed a lot. the idea of industry globally bloomed, and the world saw mass production of goods at super high rates. Because the supply of products was now much higher because of factories and mass production allowing for more stuff to be made so much faster, the demand for goods went down as there wasn't as much a need for things and thus, the price went down as well.

The price and supply shares the inverse relationship, it is  is due to demand. This affected people’s standard of living at the time of the Industrial revolution, as they purchased more of goods.

What is Industrial revolution?

The Industrial Revolution was the transition from an agricultural and economy dominated by technology and machine production. These technological advancements provided new methods of working and living, drastically altering civilization.

When supply increases and items become more accessible, prices fall. This is because demand falls along with it. Demand falls when supply increases, making it simpler to get and hence less in demand. The supply of goods altered dramatically throughout the industrial revolution.

The concept of industry spread throughout the world, and the world witnessed unprecedented mass production of products. Because the supply of items was now much higher due to factories and mass production enabling for more stuff to be manufactured so much faster, the demand for goods decreased because there wasn't as much of a need for things, and therefore the price decreased as well.
